Meal Prep Sundays: Cinnamon Apple Chips

SOCIAL-AppleChips-Nogo Fall started this week, and there's no better way to ring it in than by sharing a recipe featuring some of fall's tastiest treats: apples and cinnamon! Get inspired to make some cinnamon apple chips this weekend and keep them handy in your meal management system for fresh fall snacking all week long.

Ingredients:

Makes about 40 chips.

2 medium apples 1tsp cinnamon

Preparation:

1. Place oven racks at upper middle and lower middle, then heat oven to 200„€°. 2. Slice apples with a mandolin slicer. We recommend slicing with a mandolin over slicing with a knife because the thinner your slices are, the more crisp the chips will be. 3. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and place apples in a single layer. Dust apples with cinnamon. 4. Bake at 200„€° for one hour, then flip the apples over and rotate the trays (top tray goes to bottom rack and bottom tray goes to top rack). Bake for an additional hour. After 2 hours, the chips should be nearly finished. Turn oven off and let the chips finish in the radiant heat for about an hour or until the scent drives you crazy and you eat them all. 5.Store in a paper bag for maximum crispiness or an airtight container will also work, but will take some of the crisp out of your chips.

Meal Prep Tip:

These apple chips will disappear faster than you can make them, especially with the scent wafting through the house. Doubling and tripling the recipe is easy enough, you'll just have to be mindful of how many baking sheets your oven can handle. Sprinkle these chips with just about any spice to change up the flavors and consider using multiple different varieties of apples.
